2024 KKV All Staff Retreat
On Friday, May 3rd, KKV held its annual all-staff retreat. In contrast to the previous two years, we opted for a less-structured retreat this year. To further strengthen relationships outside of departments and programs, staff were grouped by their respective Pathways cohorts, KKV’s employee onboarding process, which focuses on building relationships and shared values across programs. With the help of a lead coordinator, each cohort designed their own experiences around pilinahā, the four connections that keep us healthy and whole.
A total of 12 groups experienced a wide variety of locations that took staff to Palehua in the Waianae mountains, downtown Honolulu, Ala Moana Beach Park, Mānoa Valley, and Kualoa Ranch. Activities were equally unique with staff sharing a meal at a buffet, napping, bowling, listening to the Royal Hawaiian Band, watching a movie, going on a dinner cruise, visiting Iolani Palace, and getting a pedicure.
This year's retreat would not be possible without the help of our flexible, patient and enthusiastic Retreat Planning Commitee Coordinators. Each of the coordinators helped to plan and facilitate each group so that everyone could have a relaxing retreat.
