Cross Cultural Childbirth Education Class

Open to pregnant women who use KKV services ( OB/FP, Medical, WIC). Support persons (husband, partner, mother, sister, etc) are welcome.

KKV Offers 3 sessions a year: In February, June, September on Fridays from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Classes include presentation and discussion on various topics:

Healthy practices for mom & baby.

• Labor and delivery.

• Labor bootcamp: Practice labor breathing, get ready for childbirth.

• What to expect at the hospital.

• How to care for baby.

• Breastfeeding

• Nutrition

• Cultural pregnancy practices from the different ethnicities

Interpretations services available: Chuukese, Samoan, Ilocano, and Tagalog. Healthy and Nutritious refreshments are provided. Participants receive a gift upon completion of the class.
